Job Title: Engineering Project Coordinator, Nuclear Fuel and Equipment Qualification Type: Contract Compensation: $63 - $80 hourly Contractor Work Model: Remote Job Description: We are seeking a  Engineering Project Coordinator to manage Nuclear Fuel and Equipment Qualification initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a significant role in advancing engineering design activities within the nuclear sector. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary liaison between multiple engineering teams, ensuring seamless coordination of activities for the design control packages. Develop and manage detailed schedules that outline project milestones and align task activities within the Plant Delivery design team and across external teams. Support the project fiscal year schedule, resource planning, and budget efforts, providing insights on high-level engineering task modifications through collaboration with the project controls organization. Facilitate the change approval process for new engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project scheduling standards. Break down complex engineering tasks into manageable subtasks for various design teams, aligning schedules with project goals. Coordinate and lead technical integration team meetings, providing updates and ensuring progress tracking for team assignments and resource leveling. Generate weekly resource forecasts and manage assignment requests, ensuring stakeholder alignment and buy-in from relevant personnel. Develop and refine standard design activity sequences to prepare for future design phases and procurement efforts. Compile status reports from design teams and manage updates to project reporting platforms, offering periodic progress reports to engineering leadership. Identify potential pinch points in resource allocations and timing, proactively addressing conflicts between project priorities. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution, along with 4+ years of direct project management experience. PMP certification is preferred. Proven experience managing engineering projects within the nuclear field or comparable sectors such as energy, infrastructure, or aerospace. Strong technical expertise in schedule management, project reporting, and resource forecasting. Familiarity with project management tools like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Atlassian tools (Confluence and JIRA) is a plus. Understanding of design control and configuration control principles is desired. Exceptional communication and organization skills, alongside a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. Ability to work independently, lead cross-functional teams, and navigate competing project objectives and design constraints.
