Job Description

HHP Inc., a leader in the forestry industry, is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Henniker, NH. This full-time, on-site position is based in our well-equipped garage, supporting a diverse fleet of tractor trailers and specialized forestry equipment. Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and routine service on trucks, trailers, and heavy/forestry equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Conduct scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, brake work, drivetrains, and engine service
Repair or replace components on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment as needed
Carry out welding, fabrication, and structural repairs
Maintain accurate service records, complete work orders, and submit time sheets
Monitor inventory and communicate parts needs to the Maintenance Supervisor
Ensure a clean and safe work environment by following all company safety procedures
Respond to equipment breakdowns, including occasional field service calls
Work with equipment brands such as Western Star, Volvo, John Deere, Hood, and forklifts

Qualifications

Valid state-issued driver’s license
1 to 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment or Diesel Technician
Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems
Ability to read technical manuals and follow service procedures
Commitment to safety, reliability, and attention to detail
Must provide own tools
