Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern PA is an 86 bed acute-care Joint Commission Accredited psychiatric hospital that offers care for adults dealing with mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders. We are dedicated to partnering with individuals, families, and communities to improve the lives of patients through the delivery of high-quality, specialty behavioral health services.
Position Summary
Oversees the daily operations of the HIM Department.
Maintains approved levels of security and confidentiality of records/data.
Manages the collection, storage and retrieval system to allow timely and easy use of records.
Hires, orients, trains and supervises HIM staff.
Qualifications
Education: AA required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: Five years of inpatient medical record experience, preferably in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. Management experience in HIM preferred. Proficient in office and computer skills including but not limited to the use of copiers, computers, and associated applications such as E-fax, Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Certifications/Licenses: RHIA or RHIT required. CPR/CPI per policy.
