JOB TITLE: RS Senior Aircraft Cabinet Maker

LOCATION: Dallas, TX

PAY RATE: $33.81/hour

Summary:

• Fabricate high-quality, complex furniture and wood subassemblies using stationary and handheld tools

• Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements and approved samples

• Use a variety of woodworking tools and techniques

• Champion safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies while protecting aircraft interiors

• Collaborate with lead and senior technicians on process improvements using Lean Six Sigma principles

• Use material tracking systems to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work

• Assume Lead duties as needed, mentoring and training less experienced technicians

• Oversee projects and coordinate task delegation with Lead

• Conduct and assist with safety audits

• Help maintain shop equipment and associated JSAs

• Coordinate with other backshops as required

• Adapt to sudden schedule changes

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Minimum 4 years of cabinetmaking experience

• Aerospace industry experience preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English

• Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift

• Computer literate

• Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products

• Working knowledge of inspection and process specifications preferred

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
