Who We Are

Founded in 1991 by Mark Tarner, the South Bend Chocolate Company has grown from humble beginnings to a beloved name in the world of sweets. With 11 company-owned stores and 4 franchise locations across Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, we’ve been delighting chocolate lovers for over 25 years. Our factory, located in South Bend, Indiana, is where the magic happens—producing over 500 different chocolates and confections that are enjoyed nationwide. From our first creations inspired by the University of Notre Dame to the innovative treats we roll out daily, our mission is simple: to spread joy, one piece of chocolate at a time.

What You’ll Do as a Storyteller

As a Storyteller (Tour Guide) , you’ll be the face of our factory tours, sharing the fascinating history of South Bend Chocolate Company while leading guests through the sweet journey of how our chocolates are made. Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding tours through our factory, showcasing the chocolate-making process.
- Sharing the history of South Bend Chocolate Company in an engaging and entertaining way.
- Answering questions and ensuring guests have a memorable experience.
- Creating a warm, welcoming environment for visitors of all ages.
- Representing our brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role (tour guiding, hospitality, retail, or similar).
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- A friendly, approachable personality with a passion for connecting with people.
- The ability to manage groups and keep them engaged.
- A love for chocolate doesn’t hurt either!
