Job Title: Cath Lab Technician
Location: Manahawkin, NJ 08050
Duration: 13 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 4x10s | Variable Shift Hours
Schedule Notes: No weekends or holidays. On-call required. No floating.
Compensation:
Up to $69/hour for local candidates
Up to $76/hour for travelers
Position Summary: A healthcare facility in Manahawkin, NJ is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician to assist in delivering high-quality cardiac procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient environment throughout all cardiac catheterization lab functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare procedure rooms and set up necessary supplies prior to procedures.
Maintain aseptic technique and universal precautions during invasive procedures.
Support cardiologists with scrubbing duties, adhering to individual physician preferences.
Operate and maintain radiographic and technical equipment including x-ray/film processing systems.
Perform scrub tech procedures including LHC, RHC, PTCA, STENT, PTCRA, PTMR, and TEC.
Ensure supplies are well-stocked, organized, and within expiration dates.
Educate and assist patients before, during, and after procedures for safety and comfort.
Verify patient identity, ensure consents are complete, and confirm low-risk criteria compliance.
Troubleshoot and report equipment problems, initiating repairs when necessary.
Accurately record, calculate, and analyze hemodynamic data.
Maintain procedural logs, downtime logs, and documentation of all required elements including export processes, requisitions, and film handling.
Ensure timely turnover between procedures (within 15 minutes).
Properly handle and track Cine Films (mailing, retrieving, labeling, etc.).
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience
Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required
Required Certifications (Must Be Active Prior to Start):
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
IABP Certification
